Growing too fast.
I have to say that the Cohete I pulled out of this box was the oiliest cigar I’ve ever seen. My wife commented it looked like it had been rubbed down with baby oil. Opening the wax paper revealed a very strong tobacco smell, definitely freshly rolled leaves. The cigar has a very dark maduro shade wrapper that is silky smooth with one vein running the length. After punching the cap, there’s very little resistance testing the draw.
I torched the foot anticipating the first draw, knowing that there’s going to be power behind this smoke. Little did I know. Black pepper spice in the first full draw, a good bit of it. Tastes of a nice toasted nut came through in the full bodied smoke with a vanilla flavor underneath. A ton of smoke came from this little stogie and it was very powerful. It had me swooning more than once.
I think these have a good bit of rest still ahead of them, and with the amount of oils in the wrapper should be plume city in a number of years down the road. IF they were to last that long. Definitely a winner IMHO.
