I've been wanting to try this little gem. It's a 130x19. Business was slow today so I went out back and lit one up. Don't let is size fool you. It's a power house. The triple cap is a testament to a fine roller. The wrapper was rolled beautifully and had a wonderful look to it. Appearance was very nice and great quality. Upon my first draw I was kicked in the mouth. It had more spice than anything I've ever tried. The smoke was very full with a nice thickness in the air. This is not the cigar for you if you don't like them with power. On a one to ten in strength it was a 9+. The flavor was almost a strong eucalyptus flavor with some spice to boot. It mellowed out very slightly but stayed pretty consistent. Myself, I like full flavor cigars. This one made me a little dizzy. No green feeling, just dizzy. It was so good though that I went ahead and smoked it to the end. The ash was almost a snowy white and held on for at least 1-1/2 inches. If you like a full flavored cigar you'll love this one. Get it while you can though, they only made about 27,000 of them. I'd recommend a good scotch along with it. Lagavulin 16 year old Scotch would be a perfect balance for this cigar. If I had to score this cigar, I'd give it a 93. Just be ready for the kick in the mouth.

Wrapper: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Binder: Nicaraguan
Size: 130x19

Very complex cigar with flawless construction.

I had one in my first few weeks of smoking and it basically kicked me in the face. Whew, wasn't expecting that. I'll probably revisit it sometime in the future seeing as how Tatuajes are so popular.

Here's the 08' review I thought I saw. Very nice review as well.

That review is for the 2006 Noellas Reserva that has an Oscuro Wrapper, the 2009 (the one you smoked) has a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. I'd love to get my hands on even one of the 2006's in Mike's review. They look delicious!

Are these the ones people are calling the "little monster"?

Close, but I believe it's the "Little Frank" as the Frankenstein also has a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper on it and has the binder and filler of the Tatuaje Cabinets...at least, that's what I'm told. Maybe someone else could confirm?

Get it while you can though, they only made about 27,000 of them.

I think it was significantly lower than that at only 200 to maybe 300 or so boxes. (5000 to 7500 sticks or so). But I know that it was no where near 1000 boxes...

I've seen them referred to as both the "little frank" and "little monster". Whatever you call them they are excellent smokes and I'm glad I have a few. :)

I wish I had more. I might have one or two in the depths of the humi. What ever you call it, it sure is a kick in the mouth. BIG flavor and Bold smoke. It really caught me by surprise. The wrapper had a nice oiliness to it and was very consistent in its firmness. Small but packed a bazooka of smoke and flavor. I still have a Tat El Cohete, a J21, a cojonu 09 and a SW Maduro. I'll get back to you on these in the future. So far, I've really enjoyed every Tat I've tried.

I smoked a noella reserva from 06 about a month ago and really was not impressed at all. Kinda disappointed. Maybe the new ones are better.

I smoked one 2 weeks ago after grabbing a few and was not happy. I did not enjoy it like I do the Noella.

WELL that has changed, Just giving it a few weeks, it is what I would have expected; a great little smoke. A great amount of spice with a small hint of coco.
