No need to take it personally PB.... its not you...... you could insert plenty of names that go down in flames........ some just more than others. ;) :D
Don't worry Bro, I have developed much thicker skin since then, I am not taking it personally at all. :p

I realized late in life that there really are those in the world who get pleasure from other people's pain. I just didn't think I would ever see so many of those individuals in one place. ???

Besides, since I have not been involving myself in any of the latest dramas, but my name still manages to grace a thread about melt downs, I can assume there are others here who will now be able to see the true colors of some of the more caustic BOTL :p Luckily CP is like life, it takes all kinds to make the world, good and bad. ;)

Just shut up PB. You are certainly not somebody who should be questioning anyone's integrity or motives.

Hey Neal, was I talking to you, or do you feel I was talking about you?

Interesting, huh? ???

Shut up!...no you shut up....etc... sounds like a child's game, I refuse to play :D

I was talking in general, and it is not I who is
questioning anyone's integrity or motives
is it? :sneaky:

I think this is really funny, someone throws out MY name, casts dispersions at MY name(which BTW I don't really care), and suddenly YOU are telling ME to Shut Up and accusing ME of
questioning anyone's integrity or motives

Does anyone else see this strange pattern? or is it just me.

You won't see my name anywhere in this thread except in the "SHUT UP" post so I know for a fact you weren't talking about me. So you decline to "'play" by "playing"? Everybody has your number PB, nobody feels sorry for you, nobody thinks your reputation is an injustice and nobody wants to hear it. You bring all this on yourself. Your wounds are self inflicted. Say what you will but the way you are treated is very much deserved.

Oh my, I was just reminiscing last night PB......

You're a legend in your own mind. In spite of your numerous blunders, you have provided us with some of the best entertainment around and for that, I'm grateful!

Should I pack my bags? Are we going on a guilt trip now??

Bwwwwaaaaaaaaahhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa :sign: :D

Hmmmm...

Nope, if I were "Playing" I would answer you with "No, YOU shut up", which I didn't :p

Everybody has your number PB, nobody feels sorry for you
did I ask anyone to feel sorry for me? NOPE

nobody thinks your reputation is an injustice
did I say it was? NOPE actually just the opposite, many times

and nobody wants to hear it
Does anybody want to hear your childish BS? Well, maybe they do, so Cary on. But if you only do it to bother me, save your energy, you and your childish comebacks do not bother me. Actually just the opposite, I am ammused :p

it would seem the legend status is not just in my mind, and you are welcome, glad I could entertain, that is what I live for. :p

I don't see any reason for any guilt at all, it's just the freakin Internet afterall. I wish some people could just lighten up, I only come here to have fun, and sometimes I succeed. And for that, I thank YOU

If there is something I missed, somebody let me know so I can respond to it. Otherwise, just cary on with what you do, cause I am once again enjoying myself. :0 :p

This place Rocks

Come on back and post some more, it's been pretty boring around here lately... (with the exception of Lumberg from Yahoo!) :sign:

See the Opus auction thread.......he's in need of a lawyer I believe ;)

Ah yes, I saw the thread. I opted to stay out of it. As a basically inactive member of CP, I truly do not have a voice in the matter.

Besides, I detest auctions, allways have. :sign:

Dispersions:
  • The act or process of dispersing.
  • The state of being dispersed.
Dispersed
  • To drive off or scatter in different directions: The police dispersed the crowd.
  • To strew or distribute widely: The airplane dispersed the leaflets over the city.
  • To cause to vanish or disappear. See Synonyms at scatter.
  • To disseminate (knowledge, for example).
  • To separate (light) into spectral rays.
  • To distribute (particles) evenly throughout a medium.
Not sure if this helps PBs case at all, but at least it answered AllOfUs' question

:( My mistake, the word I intended was disparages, not dispersions. But at this late point I don't think I will bother editing the post. ???

[Q] From Mariah Blackhorse: “A friend of mine took to contemplating the term cast dispersions and emailed me with his findings from searching the web. I always thought the term was cast aspersions but apparently both are, or have been, in usage. What are the origins and usage of these terms?”
[A] Cast dispersions is an excellent example of a malapropism: using the wrong word through ignorance. The term is named after Mrs Malaprop, a comic character in Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s The Rivals, who constantly seeks to sound high-flown but fails catastrophically because she doesn’t know what the words she is using really mean. So she says of her daughter, “She should have a supercilious knowledge in accounts; and as she grew up, I would have her instructed in geometry, that she might know something of the contagious countries”.
In this case, aspersion is a relatively uncommon word and dispersion seems to fit better. Originally, aspersion was the action of sprinkling somebody with something, usually water—it was commonly used of one form of Christian baptism, for example. It comes from slightly older verbs asperse and asperge, both of which can be traced back to Latin aspergere, to sprinkle.
Around the middle of the seventeenth century, aspersion began to refer to the figurative idea that a person was sprinkling his neighbourhood with damaging imputations or false statements. Our modern idiom to cast aspersions seems to have been first used by Henry Fielding in his novel Tom Jones of 1749.

That starts to cover it, it sais that I may well be an Ignoramous :0 Big surprise there, eh? :p

but this one seems to fit better in the original context...
