The auction is on!!!

http://www.cigarpass.com/forumsipb/index.php?showforum=12

This auction is for victims of hurricane Katrina. Please bid by posting the $$ amount you wish to offer up. Bid as many times as you want, but do so in new replies: no post editing. It's for a good cause folks, good luck in the auction! Subsequent bids must be higher than the current highest bid to be accepted. When the auction is closed, the highest bid wins it!

There's some primo stuff up on the block! Thanks to SKYDIVNEKD for organizing it -- and to Kenny (Allofus123) for taking in a family victimized by hurricane Katrina!

Come on guys - it's for a great cause. At least you know EXACTLY where and who your money is going to.

Check out the "Partagas for your Party" auction; raise the bid to $150 and you will get a bonus of 2 Padron 64's.

Bid High and bid often.

Thanks to the great BOTL's who are running this auction (and thanks to the bidders too).

To date I count Almost 30 Katrina auctions.

You gentlemen are unbelievable. Your compassion and generosity is overwhelming.

I've been so busy since the evacuations began; I had no idea what you guys are doing until this morning. This is just wonderful! God bless you all for what you're doing.

The properties I Chaplain for have 8 apt complexes in DFW and we’ve housed about 250 families so far. We've been working with churches, businesses and individuals to house, feed, clothe, furnish and search for employment for them all and it's been indescribable! Each family has been adopted by 1 or more families in the community who will help them in whatever way they can. After all the work that's been done already, there are still 4 two bedroom apt.'s full of donations that have yet to be sorted and distributed!

We also have a resident social worker that has volunteered to help them through all of the bureaucratic stuff and has even arranged for Greyhound buses to transport them back and forth to Will Rogers Coliseum to meet with the Red Cross and FEMA. Saturday, a local water park offered free admission to each of our new neighbors.

And now, I'm suddenly "Pastor" Mike. We're having church services poolside every Sunday until everyone can find a church home. Sunday’s message was about the Exodus and the obvious comparisons.

It’s just been overwhelming to see so many people come together with no agenda other than love! And to see it here on CP too, is no surprise, but to this magnitude is just humbling.

I just can't express what it's been like to see their faces as they begin to get back on their feet again.
God is great!

As it's been said, If you can't participate in the auctions please help in whatever way you can. And remember

Looking through all those threads and making sure no one rebidded, I believe were up to $4,870! $130 more, and we hit $5,000
