The Gurkha G3 tastes just like a Añejo

That is my opinion after having my first Añejo last night.

Great cigar, lasted over 2 hours during the game.

But back to the subject at hand, Pete Townshend sent me a few G3s to try and I thought they had an unusual taste. They do, they taste almost exactly like the Añejo.

Those of you who snatched up the boxes from JR Cigars got one heck of a deal! :thumbs:
 
I smoked a few Gurkhas and I never found them to be as strong as the Anejos. Is the G3 a new addition to the Gurkha line? I don't think that I ever heard of the G3 before.
 
I wouldn't go so far as to say they taste "just" like and Anejo but there are some simularities at times. YMMV

Well I had the G3 first and it was a month or two ago, but I immediately noticed the same taste when I lit up the #49. It was very pronounced, The AF was probably a bit stronger than the Gurkha but both were very very good and both had a unique taste I've experience only with these two cigars.

Makes me wish I had of jumped on a box of the G3s back when I had a chance.
 
Well Gurkha G3’s are only available in Europe and are made at the Torano factory(I snagged a box). I can see sum similarities but the G3 seems to be missing the gum flavor that’s more found in anjo’s.

Just my opinion.

It was that "sweetness" that they both have, its hard to describe but I've only tasted it in these two cigars.

and I like it A LOT!

I know that the G3 is supposedly European market only, but I've been looking and so far turned up a huge blank :(
 
Send me a couple and I will do a side by side comparison. Anejos are hands down the best NC made today. |Padrons may have a slight nod in appearance and a definate nod in construction, but nothing on the market tastes as good as an Anejo to me.

I wish I had more to send Emo, I only traded for 4 and of those I gave 2 away to BOTLs Double D and Ekans. I only have one left and I'm plan on sitting on it for a special occasion.

huh. I didn't think they were similar at all... perhaps you should have more than a few Añejos?
