I opened my mail box and was BOMBED, Nope not with cigars but with a whopping $418.00 phone bill. Ouch.

Well after calling My wireless carrier (VW) with I will not mention :whistling: , they explained to me that the bill will stand and I can change the plan if I like. Plan went from 1200 DOWN too 400 with new PDA phone.

So, that did not go over well, I gave it the weekend to cool off, and called again. This time well Mr. Newsom we can role back the plan, and the .45 cents a minute charges for the overage. .45 a minute WOW.

Big props to the helpful folks to get this mess cleared up.

Man 418-100= 318 = 1,2 maybe 3 box of cigars.

Just had this hole rant all planned and then they stole my fire, so I am giving props, the lady could have said you are stuck. Instead she stood up and did the right thing.

My bill has NEVER been over $105 in 4 years.

I had a similar situation with my daughter and her "texting" everyone. Initially, we got a plan with 250 text messages a month. She paid for her portion and hte extra $$$ for the texting feature. She looked at her phone 1/2 way through the month one time and noticed that she had almost 500 texts!!! WTF!!!!

Anyway my wife called the phone company (Verizon) and discussed it with them. They changed our plan retroactively and applied it to the text messages she had already sent. Great cusotmer service!

My roommate has had a big problem with Verizon. yes he does go over his minutes some months, but they slapped him with a $1600 bill. I don't know how much he did go over, but he KNOWS it wasnt $1600 worth over 7 months. Now they cut off his phone and has to pay $288 to get it turned on. Where in the fuc*ing world is a COLLEGE kid gunna get $1600 for a stupid cell phone bill....verizon is notorious for screwing people, JAE i'm glad they did the right thing for you and ur family..but it doesnt sound like they're gunna do the right thing with his bill.

Sounds like your friend needs to learn to turn the phone off. I don't understand the point of text messages. The world got along just fine 15 years ago without cell phones. Nowadays, people can't fart without a cell phone in hand. I've been with VW for going on 6 years now without a problem. I only use maybe 300 minutes a month, and that is an extreme.

i hate mine, but it's a necessary evil as i'm in the Ag industry, don't spend any time in an office.
