I didn't want to post until we got more news, but for those of you that go to Morgan Hill Cigar and/or know Mike Davenport, CEO of Morgan Hill Cigar Company and have not heard yet, Mike had a serious accident. Here is the post I got earlier this week.
From Paul Davenport (Rev of Perfecto Lounge)
"Please pray for my brother. He was on top of his new RV at a gas station adjusting an antenna. He hit his head on a cross beam, knocking himself hard enough to lose his balance and fell off.
He is in ICU where he had surgery to relieve pressure and swelling and now they are waiting to ensure the swelling subsides. He was conscious after the accident so that is a good sign."
Latest update:
Good news! Mike has a new neurosurgeon who is the best in the county. There is injury to his brain stem which caused it to swell but the fluid around the brain is gone and the brain swelling is down. He tried breathing on his own and reacts with agitation when they work around his mouth. They may put a trache in on Monday but will watch over the weekend to see if he breaths on his own. Surgeon said recovery will be slow and that he will go into nursing home once released from ICU. They were going to perform an MRI today but no word as of yet. There is now hope he can totally recover after a long haul. Over 2000 people are praying for his recovery.
You can follow the latest updates on Mikes condition on Paul Davenport's FB.
Please sent thought and prayers to Mike and his family.
Thanks
