I was just wondering if anyone else has a similar mindset to me on this one-

Certain times of the year, such as colder months, I am pretty much exclusively Va’s, VaPer’s, and maaaaaaybe a Balkan blend. Maaaaaaaaybe an English blend. But typically I don’t touch the Virginias until I can SMELL the dried leaves of fall.

In the summer time, I am 99.999% exclusively Carter Hall in a cob. Maaaaaaaaaybe a burley / cigar blend on a blue moon.

But yeah- when it cools off enough for a jacket, I’ll switch out the burley for something like Chelsea Morning or Rattray’s 7 Reserve. When I can actually smell dried leaves, it’s Virginia season. Virginia season ends pretty much time to cut the grass. That’s the yard ‘gar & burley season.

I was just wondering if anyone else did the same. Humidity is a factor as well- anyone out there a year round VaPer / Va’s smoker?

Carter Hall in a cob with an iced tea or miller beer go perfect- Can’t imagine the same with Va’s. Maybe it’s all in my head. I’m just curious- humidity is a function of the pipe performance / cadence thing- I get that- I’m talking mostly seasonal mindset and flavor preference. Thanks all- happy smokes!
