So I've been smoking a pipe for a few months now. I've had the standard Apple aromatic that came with my Dr. Grabow, as well as Boswell's Best and Boswell's Premium Burley (I enjoy the latter two very much). I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for more Boswell Tobaccos to try, as well as other types? English's, Virginia's, etc. etc.?

Sorry if this has been brought up already, but I was just trying to get some feedback. Thanks guys,

- Mike

Boswell has an english that i've heard was pretty good, the name of it is Northwoods.

here are some other reccomendations from other companies, im afraid i cant help ya out on the boswell end.

1.Solani's Aged Burley Flake (Burley) lol

2.Wessex's Burley slice (Burley)

3. Gatlin Burlier's Gatlin Burley (Burley)

3. Mcclelland's Blackwoods Flake, Christmas Cheer (any years), 5100 (all va's)

4. Squadron Leader (english)

5. Ashton's Consummate Gentleman and Artisan's Blend (english)

6. Balken Supreme

7. Escudo (VAPER)

8. Solani's 633 (VAPER)

Hope I helped!

I had good fortune with the Frog Mortons. Frog Morton On The Town being one of my favorites right now. Samuel Gawiths Chocolate Flake is also one of my go-to's. Whatever suggestions you get here, you should do what I did, and look them all up on Tobacco Review's Website. This site helped me out immensely! It helped me narrow down about 30-40 blends into about 7-8 I smoke on a regular basis.

Check out the "What's in your pipe" thread and you'll find some quickie reviews on a number of tobaccos.

You can't go wrong with the Frogs (Across the Pond is my favorite) and Boswell Magnum Blend and True English are very tasty without being too heavy. As said, Northwoods is an excellent blend, but it's a little heavier.

There are waaaaay too many great tobaccos out there right now to suggest but a few. I'd do as suggested and browse the TR site. The reviews aren't always all that informative or even readable, but the overall ratings are usually a decent guideline.

I will suggest you explore Cornell & Diehl and GL Pease blends. McClelland also makes a number of great blends (their VA blends are standouts). All of these should be fairly widely available. As of right now, good luck finding any Dunhill, Samuel Gawith or Esoterica blends. Dunhill is pretty much nonexistent at this point (no longer distributed in the US), and the others are having major problems meeting demand.

Good luck!

The past few weeks, I've been alternating between McClelland's No. 22 Virginia and McClelland's Mixture No. 6.

I always come back to a mixture made by www.ChiefCatoonah.com called Sugar Hollow Blend. (I don't have any financial interest in ChiefCatoonah, I just really like their Sugar Hollow Blend).
