Yes it is. The Stros are playing some serious baseball, so I doubt the cubbies will make it again this year. Pitching has been a problem, as has the bats.

If you spend $220 million (you should win for this amount of money) for your team, and havnt won in 4 years, you suck, I dont care if your the yankees or red sox. I hate ppl who arent even baseball fans or watch baseball and they jump on the yankee band wagon

back to the topic, my g/f askin me if her ass looks big is a touchy subject :angry:
 
I kind of liked the 'touchy' thread having to do with the assualt weapon ban being lifted. I understand that some subjects touch a nerve, but mature responsible BOTLs can discuss 'touchy' things without getting personal can't they?

You aren't missing the point. Closing that thread because it had potential to get nasty was and is wrongheaded. Political you say? Cuban cigars are political. That was a reasonable conversation about a reasonable topic that had very little chance of going bad. Editing at its worst.

Of course BOTL can discuss even the "touchiest" of subjects without flaming or with flaming if it's done with clever humor I think is fine too.

Oh and Brandon, yeah but the Astros have Pettitte out for the season, Last I knew Beltran was hurt slightly, our pitching isn't all that great so while I talk a good story, I'm not betting on it :p The Giants and the Cubs will be tough down the stretch and I honestly don't see the Astros pulling it off.

I just wanted to start trouble with the Cubs fans :0 :D :sign: BTW, where's MattR?

Well lately, it's been their hitting keeping them in the game. Those damn killer 'Bs have been tearing it up, at least they "were". Winning 12 games the last of August/first of September really helped them pick up the slack. I've never really been that worried about their pitching, until this year......Rocket and Pettitte. I think as long as Zambrano/Maddux can keep carrying the pitching.....Prior and Wood will hopefully come out of their slump and pitch like last years playoffs. Who knows though. Baseball is so damn streaky, but that's why I love it :thumbs:

I can take the crap and usually dish it out.

Speaking of "touchy" subjects for the Cub fans.......lets hope Steve doesn't show up again these playoffs. He's caught enough hell :p

Cigars in and of themselves are fine items to enjoy. And, they also make other things that much more enjoyable. So, discussing 'potentially touchy' subjects here on a cigar website, seems perfectly justified. Cigars can be the subject or what spices another subject up.

Just my 2 cents.

Oh phoey on sports, let's all learn the trombone and get in Stanford's band of idiots. Can you believe what they are doing, I mean, that's like going to Florida and joking about people dying and lives being destroyed by the hurricane's. Talk about having no class.

For those that haven't heard, they played BYU and had band members dressed up like dancing brides, joking about polygamy. I mean, come on, let's get real here, some things are just dumb, the thought that someone had saying that was a good idea?

As seen many times in the past "touchy subject's" always leads to flames. I'm not going to waste my money on resources to support flaming.

If you do in fact want to see an "anything goes forum", then stick around. We're working on some new features to help accomodate everyone, including the "touchy subject" fanatics. ;)
