Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for a good factory tour. I am looking to stock up the humidor and do some touring at the same time. It would be great to find a place where you can travel take a tour and pick quality smokes cheaply. I don't know if that is a reality or not. It would be nice if it was. I was looking at the Arturo website and it says they do not offer tours. Anybody have any different experience. That would be one I would like to visit. Lemme know

Also I will be in Philly all day friday if anybody has any suggestions on places to visit.

Feel free to PM me with advice

I was in the Bahamas in January toured Graycliff. They let me go into the rolling room pick out a cigar and smoke it in there smoking room. We also had dinner and that was well worth the trip. I highly recommend the restaurant. The cigars, the restaurant, and the staff are very good, but not cheap. You may have better luck in the DR. I have heard (never been there myself) that you can pick up some great deals there.

Thanks man....

The owner of my local shop just got back from Camacho's maybe I will ask him for some advice

Don't know about tours, but if you are looking for ideas for Philadelphia, there was a thread started here not too long ago with a guy asking for info on places to hang out and smoke in Philly. I'm too lazy to do a search for it right now, but it shouldn't be too hard to dig up. Holt's is in Philly, and has a great selection. Good luck!

If you had an extra day, and want a beautiful drive, you could go from Philly to Bradford, PA to tour the Zippo Lighter tour. It is a good 5 hour drive from Philly though, so you would need an extra day or two, but the drive up there is amazing.

I will tell you this, though. Don't make the drive to Lancaster, PA to Delmuth's Tobacco, which is the "Oldest Cigar Shop in America." Not worth the drive by any extent of the imagination. Horrible selection, and not a very knowledgable staff. Not a great shop at all...

I don't know what kind of a trip you are looking for but Rocky Patel hosts 3 days/4 nights visits to his factory/plantation/estate in Honduras. The meals, lodging and smokes are all on Rocky. All you have to pay for is airfare. A bucnh of guys from my local shop just got back last week. They said the airfare for roundtrip tickets was $650 or so. I have read the promotional material and talked to the guys who went and it looks like a great trip. You get to stay at Rocky's estate, tour the rolling rooms, aging barns and fields. You also get to roll your own custom blend of cigars. I hope to be able to take that trip someday.

NICE,,,, thats what I am talking about..... I can get down there for free..... What about purchasing some smoke to bring back and where can i get the info....

How bout Miami? Plenty of boutique brands rolled here, plenty of places to go smoke. How bout Cuba?

Either way.... Traveling is no problem.... I was jusy basically looking for some tours that people had been on and would be worth checking out....Just to do some traveling.....

I wouldn't mind going to Cuba but since we are not on friendly terms i did't know the specifics...

Have you been??? if so lemme know
