Most of my friends know that 3 weeks working in my London office is tough work, all those Havanas
to sample and rum to accompany it! So I have to take a monthly trip to see friends and clients in
far flung places! My latest trip took me to cold Boston, colder New York and extremely snowy
Philly!
I had an excellent time in Boston, which is unlike any city in the US, that I've visited before, somewhat
reminding me of London.
Boston has some of the nicest cigar stores that I've seen in a long time including the Gloucester Street
Cigar Company fronted by the charming Jose Agosto and boasting an excellent range of premium cigars.
My international smoking buddy RobbW from Cigar Family kindly hosted a most excellent dinner
at "Legal Seafood", followed by a wonderful herf at Cigar Masters which is one of the coolest cigar
shops and lounges I've ever had the pleasure of visiting.
As we all enjoyed Hoyo Double Coronas in the private lounge of "Cigar Masters", it soon became
apparent that the ventilation system could hardly cope! ....... see the photos on my herfs page!

New York City and another wonderful dinner at the "Manhattan Grill" kindly hosted by MDGEsq,
my smoking buddy over many years from the ASC newsgroup.
An outstanding meal and the best of company! We enjoyed Saint Luis Rey Serie A, Hoyo Double
Coronas as well as some Festival del Habanos 2000 Marevas.
A great evening was had by all!
In Philadelphia, I visited the excellent "Holts Cigar Company" on Walnut Street, which must have one of the
largest walk in humidors I've ever seen.
Dinner was at "Morton's" in a very nice private dining room, followed by more smokes and drinks at
"Mahoganys" which is a very classy cigar lounge upstairs from Holts.
Thanks to all the guys and girls who met up with me. It really was an action packed week and a lot of
fun!
February travels take me to sunny Havana for the Festival del Habanos celebrations of 2002. My next
trip to the USA will hopefully take me to Washington and Virginia........ tough life and all that!
