Wedge

Spent the afternoon last Thursday smoking cigars and having a couple of drinks, Col. Taylor single barrel bourbon and Whistle Pig rye.  The host had some of those ice wedge glasses and I am interested to know whether or not anyone uses them and what you think about them.  For me the jury is still out.  Is it a gimmick or does it add to the experience?  They are cute, but there are some pitfalls as well, like once the wedge breaks free from the glass care must be taken that the ensuing iceberg does not cause the drink to slosh out of the glass in tsunami fashion.  I will say it does chill the drink and not add a bunch of water the whiskey.

First off....I love Whistle Pig Rye....great stuff.
 
I havne't used those, so I can't provide comment on them.  But I use some large Ice Balls from Brookstone, from time to time.  I really like them.
