I was cleaning out some files from my web hosting space and found some pics of one of my first humidors I bought after being a member of CP for only a couple months.

A lot of us post pics of our first humidors and cooler setups, and the more experienced FOG's post pics of their walk-in humidors and closets. I thought it'd be interesting to compare our current setups with the setups we had when we were starting out. More specifically, the setups we started off with as newbs and what they've turned into by being a member of this amazing community.

This isn't necessarily a thread to post cigar porn, although you can if you want. But these pics are just to see the comparison between the two. The time difference between my older pics and my current pics is less than a year. And of course I know my setup pales in comparison to what a lot of the S/BOTL's here have.

I remember proudly posting this pic of my humidor when I first bought it. I remember thinking to myself I'd never get this thing filled up and even if I did, what would I do with all those smokes when I only smoke once a week, if that.

Now, 2 days away from my 1 year anniversary as a CP member, look at what this place did to me! A lot of these smokes came from generous S/BOTL's, trades, sales here, etc. And my smoking rate has gone up to closer to 1 every day or so. Also notice the stack of Priority (bomb) boxes next to it haha.

And of course my Buddy Christ both blesses and protects my stash :) And my old, empty humidor I was once so proud of sits on top of the Vinotemp lol.

Thats funny. That was my first humidor I started with too...well besides my two travel ones I bought to hold my acids!!!! :sign:  :sign: I'm totally kidding about the Acids btw. Actually.... :sign:

I hear ya on the growth problem, I'm getting to the point where I'll have to start avoiding the cooler section of walmart. Congrats on the one year, and nice stash!

Im in the same boat...except the coolers are full and I need to avoid browsing for cabinet humis!

I'm going on 8 months here at CP. I started out with a 70 count humidor. I then very quickly added a 300 count humidor. And funny you should start this thread today as just yesterday I bought my first :whistling: a cooler.

Once you start buying coolers I feel like its all over and I done trying to explain it to the uninitiated (non-smokers). I just keep my coolers clean and have beeds on standby.

I'd love to be able to use coolers, it'd be much cheaper. There's no place in my house with a steady enough temperature though which is why I had to go with the wine cooler. In the summer my house will get up close to the 80's when I'm not home, and in the winter most of the rooms get up into the mid 70's with the heat on. I had a beetle outbreak once and decided it was worth the money to control the temps. But if this is less than a year I'm scared to think of where I'll be in another year. A few more weeks and I'm going to have to start to play tetris.

You guys have a lot more $$ or a lot less hobbies then I do!

I will admit that I have upgraded from my first 20ct humi since joining this community, but I don't forsee myself with a larg vinotemp anytime soon.

Unless I win the lottery!

Heh, it's sort of a slippery slope. I had my 100ct. humi about 75% full when I had the beetle outbreak. So I got the Vinotemp to regulate the temps, and put my entire humi into the Vinotemp and had red wine bottles on the top few shelves.

Then a month or so goes by and I think to myself... ya know, I have a lot of room in there now, if I wanted to buy a couple boxes and set them down for aging (and smoking!), I have the space.

Then you get into collecting and aging, and forget about it. :whistling: But I don't over-spend myself on cigars. I don't buy $500 boxes left and right. Just a few here this week, a few there that week.

Because of CP I ran out of room in my Humi within a month.
