What would it taste like?

Having read Wilkey's thread on the debate about the overall effect of the wrapper on the cigar's taste and aroma I wonder what a cigar would taste like if it were made from 100% wrapper type leaf used as the filler, binder, and wrapper?

Would it be too powerful? Or just too expensive?

I think it would be a waste of fine wrapper. I am not a blender but it would seem that it would be tough to get the taste you want just with wrapper. The latest issue of Smoke Magazine has a fine article on wrappers and their contribution to the taste of a cigar.
 
I'm sitting in my chair right now reading an article about Black Tobacco. I remember seeing this thread a couple of days ago so here's their explanation.

Wrapper plants on the whole are pampered stars of the field, as they will yield the greates sale price, and significantly greater attention and care will be paid to them. Smokers often ask, "If wrapper plants are the best, then why doesn't someone make a super-expensive cigar brand using only wrapper leaf?" These people are dumb and should be avoided. ( :whistling: ) The reason is twofold: First, while most wrappers are attractive, they do not have the strenth or body of most filler leaves. Second, and more relevant, wrapper leaves on the whole are just too thin. If a cigar were to be made entirely of wrapper-grade tobacco, it would be too dense and would not draw. The thicker filler leaves have enough spring in their structure so as to allow for air channels to open between the leaves when they're molded into a bunch.
