I just purchased the journy to chateau de la fuente sampler and i thought i was supposed to get a forbidden x with it. there are three cigars in the package and i guess the long thin one is the forbidden x lancero but all pictures that ive seen of the forbidden series have a black background on the band and say "forbidden X." This one has the exact same band as the other two. Is this my missing forbidden x?

"Forbidden X" is a new band, and a new broad moniker that applies to non-regular release Opus X cigars; the blend of various Forbidden X cigars may be different.

The first cigar to actually be called a "Forbidden X" was this cigar:

(though the cigars that came with the Forbidden X Humidor were also called "Forbidden X cigars" colloquially)

It basically is used for non-regular production or special release Opus cigars. It was used informally for a while, then Fuente decided to make a band for them as well, to distinguish it from the Opus band.

They seem to use it fairly arbitrarily though, the BBMF you can buy at Casa Fuente has a Forbidden X band on it. The BBMF you get in the gift sets has an Opus band on it. The cigar itself is the same.
