Where to smoke in Dallas?

The little lady and I are taking a break from the shitty diapers and dirty dishes that come with having her sister and her babies staying with us at the house. So we went ahead and booked a couple nights at one of the nicer hotels in downtown Dallas.

Anyone know of any hotspots to smoke down here? Anyone been to City Cigars off Knox? If no one has any hotspots... more than likely thats where I'll end up...

Sorry, can't really help you as I haven't been down there since the new smoking laws went into effect. You might be able to smoke at the bar at The Crescent Hotel

Wish you coming to Fort Worth as I have a place I go to frequently. Nice people and a very nice walk-in. Fort Worth just passed a 'smoking ban' city wide and this is one of the only spots not affected.

If you are looking for a great restruant and a nice cigar bar then go to Javier. It is located in Highland Park!! Shoot me a PM if you want to meet out there one night.

Dallas, pshaw! I'm gonna pretend I never saw this thread.

j/k

I've never really sought out anyplace in Dallas but if Lurch is talking about Pop's Safari in Ft. Worth, sonovabum and Horse introduced me to it and it's really a very nice place. The menu is a little spendy for me but they serve the best calamari I've ever had and the atmoshere is great.

I haven't graced Pop's w/ my presence as of yet so I wouldn't know about that place. I'm talking about Bon Ton Roule off Camp Bowie. Nice owner by the name of Shannon. Apparently Pop's is going to have to decide between restaraunt and cigar lounge now that this new ordinance went into place. Oh well...at least Bon Ton is safe.

Had dinner at YO Ranch Steakhouse in the West End this evening. Fantastic buffalo filet!

Afterward, went right around the corner to the West End Pub. Very smoker friendly... even saw a humi with some AF Chateau Fuente's and Dom. Cohiba's! Had a nice little corner with leather sofas and and cigar ashtray. I was quite pleasantly surprised. It was alomost like the cigar God's led me there... ???

Smoked a Tat red (robusto) and enjoyed it thrououghly!

Cody5thou... I would love to catch up at Javiers some night. Don't know if you saw the thread where I was bitching about paying $35 for a Padron '64 Anni???? Javiers! Next time I will bring my own to be sure the price is right! ;)

Yeah, I would not buy cigars from any cigar bar. Well, I hope you are enjoying your time in "Big D"

I don't know of anything in downtown Dallas, but there is a pretty cool B&M a block from my house in McKinney. If you're ever looking for a place to smoke and hang out that isn't too far from home (it's about 35 minutes from UNT), you should swing by there. I haven't had a chance to hang there, but it's been pretty busy several of the nights I've gone in there and everyone has been really friendly. Their webpage is:

www.acigarlounge.com

That might be a cool place to get away from the screaming kids sometime. If you decide to come, PM me and I might be able to meet you over there!

Indeed gonna have to check that place out... and hope you can join me for a smoke one of these days.?

Just another bit of info... The Idle Rich Pub in Uptown Dallas has a very smoker friendly pattio. Enjoyed a Monte #2 with the little lady this evening. If you are looking for a nice outdoor place to smoke... give 'er a try.

Also... right around the corner is the McKinney St. "Up in Smoke" with a decent selection. Stopped in at around noon and smoked a PAM - Principe. While I was puffin along... my little lady snuck up to the counter and picked me up a new Xikar cutter and torch! Early birthday for me!

I will quickly second DK_ace on the B@M in McKinney. The cigar lounge is a great shop. Like him I haven't smoked in there yet, but the guys are always really friendly and helpful. This is the B&M that we go to whenever I make it to McKinney, and I have left satisfied on every trip. When I go down there Dk_ace and I are always trying to find a new place to go and smoke together so this forum is much appreciated since it's providing some good ideas.

You might check out Two Bros. Cigars in Old Plano, on your way
up to McKinney. 15th St. exit off Central Expwy (I-75). Nice
selection in the humi. Indoor lounge and outdoor table/chairs
last time I was there.

Chemyst

I agree the Two Brothers Smoke shop is a great place. They have a great lounge and nice big screens!!

I used to live in Las Colinas. Great place. I would frequent Up In Smoke on Macarthur BLvd. Nice place and decent prices. I MISS TEXAS.
