I grew up listening to him on the radio and watching him on television.

And I just found out he passed away this weekend at the age of 80. :(

RIP Wee Willie, I will always remember you fondly!

He never hit my psyche while I was in the Philly area. I was too old for the cartoon shows and not a Phillies fan so I didn't hear him much. I was more of a WMMR kind of guy.

I grew up on WMMR and WYSP in the 1970s but I was born in 65 so "Wee Willie" was my hero as a kid with all the cartoons and shows he brought on UHF.

Wee Willie Webber and Dr. Shock

Along with Ed Sciaky (spelling?), David Dye, and Luke O'Reilly. Luke was my favorite, he kept bringing over those odd records from England like YES, and the German electronica.
