Why does a tight draw make a cigar strong?

Every time I have a cigar with a slightly tight draw it seems to build a nasty tar strength. This draw is even and consistent, just tight. I can taste the great flavors but it's just bitter and strong.

Why?

Maybe the tight draw is filtering some of the bittering agents/tar out of the beginning and adding it to the middle and end

A guess: A tight draw = less air moving through the stick. Higher concentration of smoke, means a stronger draw. Tars also could tend to build up due to the increased concentration of tobacco smoke. The 'choke point' of the tight cigar gives tars a good place to build up.
