Yeah I saw this on the news last week. It's a myth. It's actually an advertisement.

edit: I couldn't remember the name of the company, but it's Cardo - a maker of Bluetooth Wireless headsets. I think it's part of an advertising campaign of theirs but it just kind of took on a life of it's own.
