Cohiba Cognac 40 to 50 years old, packed in a cohiba cabinet.

How much of the $400 is bottle and brand,
leaving what dollar value taste for the cognac?

You quote a lot of pricing in €, why is that - just curious.

Brian

I live in Germany :)

And I'd say about 80% is bottle and brand, but if you can afford it... who cares.

Ok, that explains the currency. ISOM's are no novelty for you :)

80% bottle and brand - mmmm But, I have to agree,
you are right about "who cares if you can afford it"

Brian

Edit to add: argghhh lame - it says where you are from under your avator :(

I was born in Delaware, Grew-up in PA and came to Germany as a E-4 in the US Army in 1985, and have been here (except vacation) ever since. :)

I did a bit of googleing, and it seems a normal bottle (not cohiba) of this stuff goes for over 200€ so I was wrong about the 80%

But no longer in the Army?

I got some great cognac from Harrods in London. They have a cognac
section, you select age and your own bottle.

No I PCSed in 87 as a E-5, they did away with my main MOS (HAWK Missile) so I was able to get an early out.

For some reason it is only $270 USD in New Zealand but quite a bit more everywhere else.
