I had to make a rush trip to Tampa this week so I took a few hours to check out Ybor City. We checked out the local cigar shops while there. My favorite was the cigar shop in the Colombia Cafe. There was a Cuban gentleman and lady rolling cigars in the shop. I had never seen people roll cigars before. These folks could roll a cigar in no time. I stood there for an hour watching then roll before spending the better part of a hundred dollar bill on their products.
Then we ventured into the resturant there. I had never had Cuban food before. I started off with a bowl of black bean soup followed by some sort of pork tenderloin in sauce with a mixture of rice and green peas on the side followed by a Mojito for desert.
Next time I go to Ybor City I'll reserve several days to tour it.
