You boys up in New England *really* have nothing more pressing?

Now that's funny! Guilty of making funny faces at my dog!

Not licensed to practice in any of the states of NE, so I'm no expert on the stats/regs up there, but it sure seems like a D&D charge would have been a more practical way to go about getting her in the slammer.

 I didn't realize you could get in trouble for staring at, and making faces at a police dog!

A police dog is considered an officer of the law, so if you assault the dog in anyway, you will be charged with the appropriate crime.
Rob
Attorney's/ LOA's, please correct me if I am mistaken.

freakin' Vermonters!
(And I'm a Vermonter!)

Anyone ever seen Super Troopers? =)

What the H-E- Double Hockey Sticks is wrong with Vermonters? Vermontites? Vermontians? whatever...............!
Rob - Great flick - "I'll believe ya when me shit turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet."
OH and Shenanigans! :sign:

Edited to ask: If she had married the Dog could she then be prosecuted for spousal abuse?
I mean after all, it is Vermont. :0

I knew that, but as far as making faces or staring at the dog?

I agree, total horse melarchy. The dog was probably flipping out and pissed off the K9 officer.

In Vermont alot of strange things happen, along with Massachussets. I wonder if the chaos just follows me? hm...

Now see this is were the system breaks down, this gal had to go hire an attorney, take time off from work for the court date just to see it thrown out. Someone should be held liable for wasting time and money  .

That gal probably had an attorney's number on speed dial and is probably on some manner of pre-paid legal services program if not represented by the PD. Just my hunch.

But, definitely the officer who arrested and charged with the "crime" should be looked into. But, also, consider that she was due to go to trial this week, thus it made it pretty far along from the time of the arrest to the time of trial with it only being thrown out in the (relatively speaking) 11th hour. I am not familiar with the trial-tracking time up there (or if a "fast tracking" would move it to light speed time,) but it's probably come down a fairly decent length road to get to "trial time." So all those who moved this along until trial-time should also be looked into as simply wasting everyone's time. Ridiculous, from the get go.
