Why did you decide to be the head skipper? I could say that I’m at a stage of rebirth, I’m rediscovering, revealing and nurturing the child within. And it would be true. It would also be true to say that this world and this society just needs more fun, more frivolity. We need to laugh. We need even the fleeting moments of joy. I felt it was time for me to be the stone thrown into the pond, to make ripples of positive energy, touch others and spread happiness. Providence is experiencing such a resurgence and explosion of vitality that the timing and place are truly converging to make the now, right.
Where is your favorite place to skip? I love to skip anywhere. I particularly like the grocery store, wilderness trails for a little extreme skipping and wherever people might tend to look at you funny. Since the Providence waterfront has been rejuvenated, it is also a beautiful place to skip. I hope to someday skip along the Charles River in Boston and the Cape Cod National Seashore.
