Lake Tahoe Cigar Company Holiday Blowout

Have been in contact with and doing business with Lake Tahoe Cigar. If others would take the time to make contact with him and find out for themselves, instead of following the other sheep over the cliff, then Their opinions would have validity. I have done business with and pricing is quite reasonable and on the lower end of $ scale.

What is the cliff, here? What is the potential downside. Possibly not using a dealer who won't give any straight answers, and has a shill that nobody knows doing his bidding but MIGHT have cigars (but does not right now) at prices that are inoffensive....OH NO!!!!!!!!!

I was actually considering getting in touch with the guy to see what his "no-casino" pricing was like until you posted that. You've cost him a potentially good customer.

Not cool. If you have any desire to be a part of the CP community, you need to change your attitude completely. Pronto. Like right now.

It's a great community - one which it's well worth getting a little humble to join.

Lake Tahoe Cigar Company has openly admitted that he ups his prices on hard to find cigars in his casino stores. So it doesn't matter what he does elsewhere, he's a gouger.

Purely a matter of personal opinion - unlike some folks, I don't have a big problem with a store owner charging what the market will bear.

But I don't like deceit, and I don't like anyone coming in here and insulting people after he's tried to pump up business for someone (or maybe himself). You, by your own actions, have associated yourself with this shop. I won't even considering doing business with them because of that association.
 
Wake up and smell the coffee Gonz, restaurants, topless bars, cigar lounges, all raise the price of cigars, it's called Capitolism, and here we agree, I don't appreciate gouging either. But his shop prices for us are substantially lower than his casino prices. And the two are entirely different entities. I transacted a purchase with him on some very difficult cigars and am very pleased. Look into it for yourself.

That's funny because he won't tell us his prices on some of these hard to get cigars. The best I got out of him was to send him a link to the the prices on a competitors web-site and he would match. That is if he had them, which he didn't.

How did you get him to share his pricing? Would you mind sharing with us what these very difficult to find cigars are? How much he is selling them for on this board for?

Yes, you're completely right, it is Capitolism. He's being just shady enough to try and squeeze pass while hoping no one notices - Congressmen and women in the Capitol do it all the time.
 
The important question here is, of course, what is his e-bay rating?

And I, too, would LOVE to know what his non-casino prices are for any hard to find cigars. He has not been willing to share yet. IIRC, I might have given him the benefit of the doubt very early on in this.

Tigger, I see all this talk and have dealt directly with the company and am very satisfied. I buy my cigars from various places and a warehouse I buy from is higher on some cigars lower on others, and basically so are the other cigar sources. No one source has the lowest price on every stick. As for my attitude don't have one. I do have a point of view that due to my direct experience with this company differs from others.
