I'm smoking a Casa Fernandez Robusto while my wife is finishing a Rocky Patel Renaissance.
Mine was good, rich, and full-bodied. So far the Casa Fernandez are impressing me.

Opus X No. 5 from May '08 while sitting on the patio listening to the Royals beat the Cardinals. What an excellent cigar. I haven't had that vitola in a while, but need to pick up more.

Last night I enjoyed a Reposado '96 Habano salomon despite the tight, almost plugged draw. 'Followed it with a Cusano Habano LXI Sun Grown robusto which was quite poor; papery, hay flavors and very flat.

I went outside to smoke a Opus X #5 with unknown age on it. Yummy!!!

Smoked a '97 HdM short corona before the US loss.

Now smoking a Don Carlos lancer after a wonderful dinner with the wife.

I had a horrible Johnny-O XMBF... It was fine until the shagfoot was gone. Then it tunneled and after about 1/3 smoked I got the nastiest bitter taste that made me use every bit of control I had to keep from yacking everywhere.

HORRID!!!

I cut both ends and gave it another go... F that!!! I'm getting sick just thinking about the taste, it was like Rice Wine Vinegar cut with Iodized table salt.

WKOTI

:vomit:

Down at Tobacco World this afternoon:

A Camacho Special Reserve toro that was pretty good.
A short, stubby, fat little LFD Double Ligero (haven't seen it before and don't know what it's called) that was freakin' fantastic.
And a nice Illusione 88 to finish off the afternoon that really hit the spot.

After dinner (restaurants in Dallas were fantastic, but it actually felt really good to get some of my own home cooking in me) I poured some Dalmore 12 on the rocks, and started off with a San Cristobal Fabuloso; finishing off with an Illusione MK now.

Didn't have much chance to get a cigar in up in Dallas, as I suspected I might not, so I'm having all my smokes for the week today! :D

LFD Double Ligero Lancero. I love these sticks. Just an abundance of flavor with great construction and overall appeal. Will pick up more ASAP!!

5 Vegas Series A Churchill with Montana Kid. Nice cigar, great evening.

Indeed. The Vegas A starts out a little too much like the Gold but becomes much richer as it goes along and reminded me of a CAO LX2 towards the end of the first third. Overall a very enjoyable cigar for golfing or something like that.

Today I had an AF Short Story. Seemed a little bitter once I got to the halfway point. Anyone else have this same experience or did I possibly have a bad one?

Enjoyed a Hemingway Work of Art Natural at the local today! Discussed the tax increase on Cigars that will take effect August 1st. Probably going to drive 99% of New York Tobbaconists out of business or out of state!

07 Boli Inmensa and 07 SP Beli yesterday.
Smoked an Illusione Epernay Le Matin (Box-pressed) today while mowing the lawn.
Not a bad little smoke, but I think Dion's older stuff is a bit better.

I smoked a Hemingway Signature Maduro in the afternoon.

Nubbed a Short Story tonight when I went for a little walk. Smoked beautifully, burn, flavour, everything. Burnt my finger too.

I would let the next one sit in the humi a bit longer. About a month ago I had a WOAM that came off a little more bitter than I expected. I had one the other day, and it was sweet and smooth (as they should be). Just 30 days made a huge difference, and I could tell it even by smelling the wrapper. Being a noob, that's all the advice I have at the moment :D
