I didn't read all the post on this thread; I only made to the beginning of the forth page. I assumed there was no need to read more. The general census is that Rod is a great guy! I've never met him, but from what others have said, he must be a hell of a man.

Rod, I love your forum.

I just stumbled across this post and just wanted to say thank you to Rod for looking out for us. I am very glad that this was the first and only cigar forum I found and post on.

What a couple of "low men" these two "businessmen" seem to be. I bet people are leaving their sites in droves. I do feel sorry for the BOTL who were sold out but that's life.

Can you imagine having built up 77, 587 "reputations" and god knows how many bunches of bananas over a period of years just to have it all become what it always meant - nothing. :)

They finally get this quote, I'll wager:

I'd much rather wear a logo of a girl on a cigar than a fish wearing a hat and smoking a cigar. You can get a hat and a shirt for less than a hat at puff.
 
Hey, if those guys want to wear a shirt or hat that gives off an indiciation that they are a Puffer, then by all means I say go for it.
 
$40 for a hat? It only costs around $8 to embroider a hat wholesale. If you go to the mall, they'll embroider any logo you want for around $20. They're saying their cost on the hats are $35/ea? Wow...

One more thing... CafePress.com allows you to create all kinds of items with your branding on them, for pretty cheap. Hate to say it, but these prices are inline with their new business - it's not about the members, it's about the $$$.

Prices are high - yes. I agree. Again I am making 5 bux per item here so if you think they are too high then please vote with your pocketbook and not purchase. Believe me for 5 bux profit its more of a pain in the arse than anything so you wont hurt my feelings - just thought it would be nice to offer.

Edit to add- Hell Flexfit hats can be found for $17.00 including embroidery rather easily online.....
