Friends, Romans and countrymen, lend me your ears: I have locked down the date for this year's Quad State Herf. It will be Saturday, July 27th from 1000 (10am) until dusk (roughly 2000/8pm) and the location is West Point's Recreational Area (Round Pond). It will be the same location as last year being that it was a big hit and all. It will be a day of relaxing, enjoying great BBQ (prepared by Sean Keever and his crew - Muzzle Brake BBQ aka: Big Guns BBQ) and a number of outdoor events, i.e., volleyball, basketball, horse shoes, fishing, swimming, paddle boating and much more. The recreation area is large enough to comfortably accommodate 200 - 250 guests.

The cost to attend the Quad State Herf is the same it was last year, $50.00 per person (half for food and drink and the other half for the "benefit"). The benefit of the event again this year will be "Wings for Warriors" http://wingsforwarriors.org/.
As always, each guest will receive a very nice "goodie bag" and there will be plenty of stuff being raffled off at the event.

Below is a map of the area as well as Round Pond's website:

The actual address for the area is: 1348 Round Pond Road, West Point, NY 10996.

As more info comes up, I will update this post.......

Thanks for the info. What are the age restrictions since this is outdoors? We might make this a part of our summer vacation.

IN! I hope my truck makes it in one piece this year...LOL Also we plan on tenting overnight as well!

Thanks Charlie!

Paul

I'm in, to be sure, Charlie. Not sure if Gary has me in his +5 so he'll have to clear that one up.

Toward the end of the HERF there was two babies at our table it that helps...LOL There was a few kids running around the basketball court all day there is no age restriction.

Cool. It wouldn't be the first herf for either of my boys. They did OK herfing with Joe in Austin for the first hour or two.

What about a couple nice big tables with a CP banner of some sort this year...?? I'm sure there were folks I didn't get the opportunity to meet...???

Charlie...Can't hardly wait. Count me in with +2. And thanks in advance for putting this event together for all of us. I know it's a lot of work and can't be easy.

Checking my calender, but I'm hoping to be there again.

You're in the +5...as is Isy.

I figure you, me, Anthony, and Isy drive up together like last year and we meet Tom & Bill there...that's our 6 people

Jeff take me...

Trying to figure it out. Fly from CA to Denver, spend a few days there, then fly from Denver to NY, do the HERF, then from NY back to CA.

If I have the vacation time available, I will be making the trip. Will have to talk with you to hash out the details.

Alright Charlie, you are really testing my marriage.
Two years ago, I proposed the day before the herf. Last year I postponed my honeymoon to attend. Now, this year, it falls on my first anniversary. I hope Ronnie stays with me, but of course you can count on us.
Who else could sell that many phony raffle tickets, -_-
