Holy smokes...I love this quote from that article. "According to Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations, CBP officers are required to seize, forfeit and destroy all Cuban cigars and all other Cuban imported products."
Yeah, by smoking them all up themselves.

"There's usually a green tab right on the box that says 'cigars'." I knew that labeling requirement would leave marks eventually.

I've been buying Nics lately but my heart goes out to everyone that was waiting in vain. I was already so pissed at the "Nanny State" that I could spit and now this happens, too.

Yeah, that really really stinks. I would post more about my thoughts on particular subjects, but this is a public forum and I can't really afford to do that (plus the possible "no policitics rule" violation).

Sorry fellas.

Man can you just imagine the cigars that are in that mail bin? There is NO way that all of those get destroyed. Merry Christmas, agents' families!

Just look at the smirk on that bastage's face.

AND I'd like to punch that person the mailed the "toner" right in the man-parts.

Yeah, that's a rough bust . . . Maybe someone on here is friends with said agents, and will now have the ultimate hook-up?

I nearly schat myself when I saw "Cigars" written clearly on the Custom's form. It's like painting "DRUGS" on the side of your car...even SoulPup would get the hint.

Hope no one has a shipment in that pile... :(

*Hi, Jon! :p

That sucks. Glad I wasn't expecting any thing via Swiss Post. Looks like some of us will have to cherish what we have a little more for a while. Other than that, my thoughts take a serious turn toward the political, so I'll keep them to myself.

 Suck it buddy!! :sign: I'm nowhere near that smart, c'mon now.

Wow. Very interesting... hate it for all those waiting for their orders. Tough to imagine how much money is sitting on that pallet.

Wow, bummer! Thats gonna ruin some Christmas treats for a whole bunch of guys! :(

I know that I have 2 boxes of Boli RC's, and 1 box of RASCC in that bust... :(

I need a Canadian friend! Paging Shamrocker! :whistling:

Sorry to hear of the unfortunate snag in your order bro. I could always forward a package or two if you wanted to ship them here. We could work out some details in the near future if you so desire. PM me.

Here's the real issue, cigars are now traveling via a more frequently inspected route. You've got to figure at this point that CBP has sent off a note to all their main entry ports about "those little yellow baggies."

Plus all those merchants just took a massive hit.

I wouldn't be surprised if cc shipments to the US decline by 75% or more in the near future.

Is this just a holiday spike in scrutiny? Or will it continue long-term?

This happend a few years ago and died down later. I have a box of Monte #2s sitting there!! This is shrapnel from from the fuggin' dipshits trying to blow up planes with explosives hidden in ink cartridges. They have moved most cargo except for letters to cargo planes, away from passenger planes. As someone that logs around 75 flights a year, I appluad them for making flying safer, just didnt think the fallout would be a windfall for the custom agents.
