So now that i have a nice fondness to the Padron's i been pondering how t keep track of them as Padron does not put anything on their band. From what i have seen only the higher end ones have different bands with the Padron name and what it "is". I know the x000's vary in size but they have others that are close in size. So i ask how is it you keep track of which is which? Is it ok to write on the wrapper with a sharpie?

Thanks,
Tim

Woahhhhhh slow down with the sharpie! I hope you dont mean write on the actual cigar wrapper. You can write on the foot end of the cello where its folded over, however, so if that is what you mean then Sharpie away! Just wait until it dries and the odor dissipates. Don't want that getting absorbed into the humi or other sticks.

A lot of us use something like this which works really well. You get better at identifying different sizes and such as you buy/trade/receive more and more cigars. I'm still working on it myself but I'm definitely much better than when I started.

Good luck!

   No i should have been more clear, Yes by writing on the cello. Hmmm those bands are interesting. Might have to give them a try. Yeah i have found it really easy to forget what model a cigar is if its not on the band.

Thanks for the link.

If it has Padron on the band I don't particularly care what size it is. I'll smoke them all.

Very valid point! but if I give one out to a friend I'd like to know what I am giving them and them to know what good smoke they had.

If you end up buying boxes in the future (you will, and sooner than you think), you can take a small adhesive label with the info you want on it and stick it to the bottom of the box. Most boxes will have something on it to identify the name or size of the cigar, so I typically write the date I received the box on the label, and who I purchased it from. If I buy singles from or when I decide to move cigars from one box to another or to a tray, I'll use the blank bands.
