Ok IPCPR starts next Sunday the 24th...I will be there till Thursday afternoon. Who is coming out?? Will be hanging at the parties and Rhum Bar as usual, maybe a trip to Casa but way too crowded last time so may just avoid that.

I'll be there.

If you feel like hanging out in a nice air conditioned environment, we are having a little party at La Casa Cigars and Lounge in Tivoli Village from 8:30pm to 1:00am on Tuesday, 7/26. I booked the VIP room all the way in the back. There will be 40-50 of us attending. La Casa is in Summerlin, about a 20 minute cab/Uber ride from the Venetian.

I just confirmed, after selling my soul to my wife and my boss, that I'll be out there Sunday-Thursday...got a last minute email from the guy I've written stuff for when he had someone cancel on him. So I'll be "working" to cover whatever they need for web or magazine content. I don't drink or gamble, so other than meals at Bouchon, Carnevino and Raku I have no real plans. Is there such a thing as a "low key" place on or near the Strip to smoke a cigar during IPCPR? Atmosphere isn't that important...mainly going to be on the laptop writing and have a non-smoking room at Harrah's.

Appreciate the invite but already have 2 event on Tuesday but might see if I can make it out later.

Come on down if you can. There will be a mix of retailers and manufacturers.

What a week....for a IPCPR newbie I think I struck a good balance between overachieving for my editor and geeking out. I didn't have a ton of must-meet producers, Dion Giolito was one and that was very cool. The other was Kyle Gellis from Warped...I love their stuff, but he photographs SO much better than I do. I guess that's not saying much....

Jerry, looks like you had a blast!

Yeah, that was the experience of a lifetime. I'm really grateful to have had the opportunity and DEFINITELY did my best to leave a good enough impression with the guys at the magazine to be asked back next year. If I had to lay odds, I'm guessing there's no way the wife would put up with staying home next year! :D
