Seasoning the NewAir CC-100H CC-300 with Boveda

I wouldn't use bovidas to season the humidor... I would get some distilled water, a clean sponge and a clean bowl. Fil with water put the sponge in and soak up most of the water, then place in the humidor. Let it season for a few days, then open and add water, let season for a few more days, then add water one more time, and let season for a few more days. The last time there should be very little water gone from the bowl...

Thank you for replying, I've decided not to go with this method, as I will be using the Boveda packs. I think the Bovedas will work better after what ive been watching online etc. Just don't want to over season it. says I should put 1 84% pack per 25 cigars that it can hold, so that would be 10 packs for the 100h and 16 for the cc300 i just feel like thats overkill

Did you already buy this? Cheaper options out there, especially for new cigar smokers.

Bovedas are definitely not the optimal way to season anything bigger than a very small desktop humidor. They aren't made to supply large amounts of moisture which is needed when initially seasoning. They are useful in regulating small changes in rH which is needed when the humidor is already seasoned.

I think I will use this way. How big of a bowl and water? should I just used what it comes with?

after I season it, would keeping 69% bovedas in it work?

I said cheaper, not cheap. You're in California, the land of taxes. Figured you could get a cheaper wine fridge amd spend money on better cigars.

That will work. I would venture to guess that most here prefer 65%. I do, anyway.
I second this, had my old one set up with 69% packs and had to keep a close eye on it cause it was prone to mold, until I started using 65% and nano silver
