Today's Smoke 2020

Man, seems like forever since I had the time for a smoke. Broke out a primo prez special, and they aren't beasts like back in the day but you definitely know you've had a cigar.

What is the backdrop there? Looks cool, but I can't make it out.

In celebration of having taken my first midterm in my journey towards a nursing degree, I’m smoking a LFD 25yr celebration cigar. I cannot recall it’s actual name but it was released recently. Oh, and I’m breaking in my new ash tray from 2 Guys Cigars!
PS- I’m breaking my Lenten fast of alcohol in this celebration. Have mercy on me Jesus.9455627B-D3CC-42C0-8818-56D8E8180BBA.jpeg

I can’t remember the name of this corona gorda sized VSG, but it was in my Secret Santa bag. It’s probably been five if not ten years since I’ve smoked one, but I’ll definitely end up buying or trading for more. The spicy punch and flavor seems to be more consistent with years past vs. some of the $$$$ Fuente Newman stuff (I’ll take another new VSG over a new Opus, but YMMV). It’s an attention grabbing early morning drive smoke.

I was trying to remember exactly when I first smoked one of these, and I think it was a pre-release from someone on the CA boards well before the great CF-inspired diaspora. After that I kept calling Jack Schwartz to see if any boxes had landed, like a five year old…”Are they there yet? Are they there yet? Are they there yet?”. A box of those things was a serious purchase for me back then, a couple of notches above the chic perfecto trend of the day (El Jocko Maduros, and those weird little, almost pink in color, sticks from some new Perdomo guy).

Great Friday cigar to begin wrapping up a very stressful work week!

Pretty sure it's called the corona gorda. It might have been the Tres Mystique, but I love all the VSG sizes.

The OR were VSG rounds and were released early 2000s, I think. I had a few of the 10 box OR robustos and they were incredible.

Yep, you got it, they all had artsy fartsy names but the CG. The Tres Mystique was a PC.
