Cigar smoke in clothes

Hey guys, I wanted to ask you guys what you do about cigar smoke in your clothes. I've recently been going to some events afterwork, but my suits smell like cigars. I've tried airing them out, but no luck and they have to go to the dry cleaners; which ain't cheap. What do you guys do?

Change out of clothes you don't want to smell like smoke. Its kinda that simple. I've hung my jackets in the garage for a day or so and that seems to help, and after a few days it seems to go away completely. Probably not the answer your looking for though. Sometimes I'll leave my jacket in the car just so it doesn't pick it up.

Seconded!! I have specific jackets I smoke in and I always bring a change of clothes in my car if I am wearing dry clean only clothes. Never know when a cigar invitation might be extended.

I just always try to smoke in clothes that I know will be thrown in the wash. Aside from washing or airing out for a day or two, not much you can do.

Sadly, the NYC places have dress code policies it seems. I was already turned away once when I had a changed into jeans and s sweatshirt. Sigh.

Ah gotcha. Maybe you need a specific suit that is only for hitting the cigar bar. Leave it zipped up in a suit bag in your car, change before leaving work and your good to go.

Not ideal though, changing at the workplace anyways. Just spitballing ideas here..

Thank you. I will try that.

No need to be a old grump dude. Too serious. Lighten up.. It will do you wonders in life in your later years. :)
I'm already an old grump. If you'd done some research, before you spouted off, you'd know that. And besides, that's what we call humor around here. It helps if you have a sense for it.

I actually tried that the other day. LOL. The suit, is well, not wearable. It's great in keeping people away from me now in the club. LOL.

Yes, I can read. Maybe some fun with a female will brighten up your day. :)

Best not to poke the bear, is all I'm saying. Doc is a very well respected member of this community. Text is hard to read at times and while fun and easy going in intention, your comments can come across as passive aggressive, rude, or just plain old wise ass. Just my two cents.

Not "poking" anyone nor being disrespecting to anyone. Ever hear of humor? Everyone's is different, but again, I wasn't trying to disrespect anyone.
