Oh jeez, you do see some strange stuff in older homes. I wonder how the guy who did it originally didn’t electrocute himself?

If it’s in the garage and the garage isn’t dry walled over or something, running new romex around is pretty easy. Now pulling from the house…I would probably hire someone, but if that isn’t the issue, then you should be able to tackle this one.

Yeah. I have to pull down all the OSB to run new romex. I’m excited to hit it and start over. There are SO many unnecessary junction boxes and splices (simply due to poor measurement) it’s a miracle there wasn’t a fire haha.

It can feel rewarding to tackle such a task. Cross your fingers and hope for good weather so your not sweating your balls off.
