Not sure if this is appropriate or even allowed .... Im sure I will find out.

I have a Savage 220 which I dont use since Ohio started allowing a few rifles. Love to sell or trade it.

Also, with the crazy ammo shortage, I wonder if trading ammo is feasible? If someone has something someone else wants, it could work out well.

Shipping would need to be done by someone with an FFL but local would be easy?

My guess would be it'd be done in the "Buy/Sell/Trade" forum and as long as it went to an FFL(or in person transfer), there wouldn't be anything wrong with it. As for the ammo, don't see an issue with that either.

As for your Savage 220, they may as well be a rifle. With the right ammo, they'll get out there a couple hundred yards plus. Good luck with your sale/trade.

Thanks Floyd! Interesting story about my Savage 220. I bought it because it was supposed to be the most accurate slug gun in the world, I couldn't group 8 inches with it at a hundred yards.

I called the manager of the Outfitter where I bought it and he told me to bring it down to his shop, we went across the street and shot four different types of ammo and he looked at me and said "I will give you your money back or I will give you another gun I don't understand what's happening with this gun"

We then tried a fifth type of ammo and it immediately started cutting holes at 100 yards.

Just goes to show how every gun has a certain ammo it likes!

This is truer than you'll ever know. When I sold guns for a spell, I'd tell guys to find the ammo it liked and stock up. Remington or Federal 20ga slugs used to use Barnes bullets, and they were rock solid. They discontinued and and everyone was SOL. Glad you found the right one. That gun truly is a difference maker, for a slug gun. Good luck.
