You just straight up don’t like the flavor or you are comparing it to 23 yr and price vs that bottle

I was gifted a bottle of the 23, and I guess I just don't care for dark rum. I ended up mixing it with some nuclear strength espresso, vanilla, sugar, and vodka to make some homemade Kahlua. Now that was good!

Edit:
When I got home, I poured a little in a glass and gave it another shot. And it's not as bad as I remembered. Still a shellac-like aftertaste, but seems sweeter and not as astringent as before. Only a couple of fingers left, down the hatch!

Sistema 23 Solara I think is what it said on the bottle.

I’m going to try for Saturday…again. Right now I’m battling what I’ll call babypox…something the grand baby and her runny nose decided to pass on to the wife and I this past weekend. It’s not COVID…everyone tested neg for that…but the symptoms don’t seem a lot different. No fever, no loss taste or smell..runny nose like a bitch..mild cough…sinus pressure…mostly like a sinus infection but apparently viral.

Still sucks lol…except for the hot toddy’s…those always help . ;)
