Coravin wine system.

Does anyone here have any experience using the Covavin wine preservation system? Coming off a week in Napa a some places have used the Covavin wine system in some of their more vintage and less poured wines. I’m curious if it’s all it’s reported to be.

So as far as performance goes, it does as advertised?

I can't speak from personal experience, but that is my understanding from quizzing folks I've seen use it.

We use them a lot at work and occasionally at home. Price is the biggest issue at home for them. They work very well but there are still limitations on how long the wine keeps even though you are injecting the bottle with Argon. If you’re going to drink it within a few weeks they are great. I’ve even had some success keeping them in a wine cellar for a couple months after Coravining from them.

Keep in mind the replacement cartridges for the argon are $6-8 each and it’s easy to blow through it by not using the device correctly.
