Today's Smoke 2025

‘05 PSD4 - Certainly one of the most beloved Havana Robustos along with RASS & my favorite, the almighty CoRo. I have smoked so many PSD4’s over the years from fresh to decades old trying to like the damn things. This one twenty years old for cripes sakes. The one I liked and admittedly it was out of this world was an 80’s vintage. The rest have been ho-hum to meh. This ‘05 was perfect in every way but flavor. Perfect draw, excellent burn, gobs of smoke but all I got was power and pepper. One note blah "why do I keep smoking these?" I guess it’s time I realize they just aren’t for me. I doubt I’ll ever smoke another. The boxes I have will be shared with those that like them. Currently puffing on a Salomones which is most of what I love in the Partagas vitolas I favor and it’s not a year old!

Tatuaje Reserva Broadleaf, not sure what vitola. Seems toro-ish, maybe 6x54 or thereabouts.

Mild, creamy, vegetal, cedar, definitely Dominican flavors dominate. Great construction and burn.

ETA: Getting into the middle third now, and the body is really picking up, solidly medium now, very cedary, getting some earthiness and big, thick clouds of smoke.
