Today's Smoke 2025

‘07 Partagas SdC#1 7 1/2 X 38 - cold draw shows I’m in for a treat. Baking spice (primarily nutmeg), medium partagas pepper - you know what? Forget the frufru flavors, this thing is full of heavenly cream. Second third brings almonds & sourdough toast. Flawless draw and burn with copious smoke. Certainly one of the smoothest Partagas retro ever. Effing band won’t come off and it’s tight 2" from the head! Slight tear of the wrapper removing the damn thing. I long for the days of band-less Havanas. A 7"+ sub 40 ring is a thing of beauty. Last couple inches picks up strength and pepper. Gotta love when the complexity shines throughout. 100 mins of pure pleasure.

Monster Smash Hyde. Redemption after the Eisenhower Tunnel inside last night's Jekyll.

Starts out as a pepper bomb with some tanginess. Once the pepper calms down (but it's still there) there's an almost meaty, chewy thing going on, with sourness and charred wood in the retro. Probably pretty good if you're a Sumatra fan. I'm generally not, with some exceptions (VSG).

Hey Josh! Take a quick picture and post it here so everyone can see the cigar you refer to. Some members here can't read they just look at pictures. 😝 Then put the name in type for Chad and myself. 😁

Sure thing! This is a picture from halfwheel because I already smoked mine this morning. Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Mexican San Andres binder, Jalapa and Connecticut broadleaf filler.
