Why is it that Priority Service took a nose dive?

The last few times I've used it the tracking portion, only comes up with the label is created and is awaiting shipping. Even though it has been dropped off and it is two days later. Just venting as the price continues to go up, plus they got rid of the medium sized flat rate box(VCR Shape).

Agreed. I was told by a PO worker that the delivery times are "approximate". They really mean nothing as they are rarely adhered to. He told me I could file a complaint, if I wanted, but chance of getting a refund is very slim! They truly don't give a shit anymore. StL Distribution is horrible, but not quite as bad as Des Moines, IA. KC is also horrible.

I was also told the increases are now automatic, each January(I believe). Instead of needing Congress to approve them, they just go up. Pretty sad, since they aren't held accountable. Couple businesses over here want you to pay over the phone or drop payment off, versus mailing it. Too many are showing up late and they have to deal with that mess.

Good luck.

You didn't win?

Man, you are going to get Jeff on a tangent now!

Costs have skyrocketed and service is worse than ever. I hadn’t shipped anything for a few years and couldn’t believe how insane usps prices are now. Even with PirateShip. Really takes the piss out of sending stuff Willy nilly like I once was want to do.

They cut ot and hours and staffing to get their pension numbers in order.

It's been in decline for years.

My cousin was with a hub for 29 years.
In the end, they would tell him to go sit for some of his shift. He said it happened that way ... Alot ...and not just with him

Honestly I’ve not had too much issues with usps around here. But there are only certain PO I will deal with, and only certain hubs I “pray” they use lol.

Oh good, a place to bitch. I recently paid for overnight shipping which is damn expensive. Handed directly to the PO before 5pm on Friday. NO it doesn't make it Saturday, or,Sunday or Monday. It took 4 days for overnight. The word PISSED is in my navy vocabulary and I was very Pissed. Why did it happen?? THEY don't care, They have a union, and They have been operating in the red for so many years, who cares. Refund the money and move on. They have no pride in what they do, they take no ownership. If this wasn't Federal they would have closed the doors years ago. If Trump wants to save Big Beautiful America money, sell this fucking business to Amazon. SHIT I AM PISSED.

I honestly hope Trump gets ur message. USPS is one of the laziest most unproductive agencies that are out there. Amazon in fact already does the same job much faster and cheaper.

Delivery by drone is the only way...

Yep, I can attest to the fact of much later delivery dates than you pay for. Tracking will bounce between the same two sorting facilities several times before actually moving forward again. Deliveries marked delivered PRIOR to actually being delivered (you can see how this is a win for insurance reasons for the USPS, not the customer).

I ordered an item from a place literally 3 miles away. It traveled to San Diego (120 miles south of me) and then back up here, which it passed through several local sorting facilities before getting to me. The USPS has become quite the mess.
