If you have an idea for a song, post it here. Please include as much detail as possible around what the song is about, so I can create the lyrics (unless you wish to provide them). Also, include a desired genre(s). Will do my best to make it happen.

I have an idea I may work on a bit, but out of curiosity, when you do yours do you write the lyrics from scratch or use AI for that as well?

I write them and then collaborate with AI to refine certain lines. This is why they are so tailored and unique to the message that is trying to be conveyed. I have a few songs I've been working on for 6+ months (still not happy with either how some of the lyrics flow or the overall music style), whereas others I can come up with something in a matter of days. Also, the other half of it is being able to come up with the right AI prompts when creating the actual song (outside of the lyrics). As you may have noticed, I have an easier time with certain genres than others. I know a lot of people like classic rock, but it's been a bit challenging trying to create those types of songs, perhaps because I never really listened to classic rock.

That makes sense. I wasn't sure if you started with AI and tweaked, or started fresh.

With the massive advancements in AI, I think we're going to see a lot of really new and cool songs, movies, etc in the near future. It allows someone who doesn't have a band and can't sing (like myself :D) to finally able to take a thought and turn it into something others can hear/see. In my opinion, much of the real talent is from the early days, up until the point when they they took a "pretty face" and auto-tuned their voice -- those aren't real talented singers in my opinion. Bands like the Beach Boys, Sinatra, Beatles, etc are where the real talent is, again, IMO.

I agree 100%. And songs that actually told a story, versus modern music which all overly repetitive, meaningless slop.

How about a song based on Mark Twain’s quote "if there is no smoking in heaven I shall not go there"
I would request it set to a classic lounge melody in the vein of Sinatra.

All right Todd, I think I've got some decent lyrics put together. As will be obvious if you sing along in your head to the tune of, say, Crossroads or Hound Dog, the lyrics are set up as a standard twelve bar blues song with an 8 bar bridge before the final verse. I was imagining it more in a Delta blues style, a solo singer with a low, gravelly voice played slow, but do whatever comes out good.

(Verse 1)
I been smoking all my cigars, my humidor is getting low.
I been smoking all my cigars, my humidor is getting low.
I need to buy some more ISOM's, they're my favorite smoke.

(Verse 2)
I checked all my sources, about had a heart attack.
I checked all my sources, about had a heart attack.
My stockpile is a dwindlin', I don't think it's comin' back.

(Verse 3)
I PM'd a couple a FOG's, thought one of them might have a guy.
I PM'd a couple a FOF's, thought one of them might know a guy.
They all told me the same thing, prices have climbed into the sky

(Verse 4)
It ain't just EL and RE's, even regular sticks are a fright.
It ain't just EL and RE's, even regular sticks are a fright.
For those rising Habanos prices, there just ain't no end in sight.

(Bridge)
Tried Davidoff Warped and AJ, Black Works Dunbarton and all of them.
Padron and Fuente are old standby's, but they aren't the same.

(Verse 5)
Sure I missed a house payment, but I have a good excuse.
Sure I missed a house payment, but I have a good excuse.
I got those Cuban cigars are too damn expensive these days blues.
