I listen to audiobooks everyday while driving to work. It's a great way to enjoy a book and pass time when your hands need to be occupied. I find myself using audiobooks more and more these days and wanted to know if others do as well.

I mostly listen to fantasy fiction, crime, and sci-fi. But I will enjoy just about any story that's well written and a good narrator.

I don't, but kind of want to possibly start. I listen to two or three podcasts religiously (one of them I'm still catching up and have several shundred eps left!). I used to read more than the average bear, but since I had to stop smoking, I don't think I've finished a book since then. I miss it, honestly.

If you listen to podcasts, you may like audio books. It doesn't satisfy that holding a book feel, but it does let your mind enjoy the story. A fair compromise.
If you have a US based library card you can listen to them for free with their app Hoopla. I highly recommend it, no adds or silly interruptions.

I listen to Old Time Radio shows when Im behind the wheel for more then 10-15 minutes. Ive been a huge fan for a few years now. Most are 30 minutes long which fit well with my commute and other trips. They are free and its a cool time machine back to the 40s-early 60s. Thats what's known as the golden age. They are very stimulating to the mind and engaging with the different characters and sound effects. Im a fan of private eye, police, adventure type shows but they have all kinds. Johnny Dollar, Sam Spade, Phillip Marlow, Dragnet, Tales of the TX Rangers, Dangerous Assignments to name a few. There are so many you can listen to all of one then come back later and enjoy them all over again. Many movie and TV stars started out in radio and a few radio shows were adapted to TV like Dragnet and Gunsmoke. The few vintage commercials are fun to like for cigarettes and hair tonic. We lost power last summer so I grabbed a cigar, my phone and a blue tooth speaker and spent a nice hour or so on the porch. If you have sat radio there is a channel and there are podcasts of them.

There are even old pre ~1970 baseball games that predate the CBA the league has with the MLBPA if you're a baseball fan.
