Guns

It has got be sooo hard to be any kind of remotely attractive chic and be into guns w all the dudes that chase after them.

It's on another level from just having big cans and the ability to tie a cherry stem into a knot with their tongue inside their mouth.

Lena's actually a gun prodigy in her own right. Both she and Jerry are expert with all kinds of guns, I think he's most known for his insane revolver skills, and she's an amazing shotgunner. Jerry's wife, Lena's mom, Kay Clark-Miculek, is a less well-known competitive shooter, but has a couple of gold medals in IPS.

Kay's father was Jim Clark, Sr. founder of Clark's Custom Guns, and popularized what came to be known as the "Clark Meltdown" on 1911 pistols, an extreme dehorning later becoming quite popular with the Kimber CDP line of pistols, and he made a lot of compensated custom guns for IPSC competitors in the 1970s and 1980s.

They're quite the gun family.

Here's a shot of a current production full custom from Clark's Custom Guns.

We sold our custom built 'dream house' to get away from Karen neighbors and the HOA. Now we're 'just rural enough'. Neighbors horse pasture to the east, rhubarb fields to the west. No HOA. Immeasurably better....😎

Back on topic. The 'big iron'....a very early Ruger Redhawk in .44Mag. First gun I bought, damn near 50 years ago. One of the first three in the Eugene area way back then. Love this gun; it's heavy enough that it's very shootable and of course it lets go with a very satisfying 'thump' and hits hard. As my kids were growing up, it was a real 'rite of passage' when their hands got big enough to shoot the 'big iron'. Hogue monogrip fits the hand nicely, it's a great shooter.
