Congrats on your 6 pointer bro... smoke a good one in its honor

Deer season in May? Where is this? I need to move there, sounds like you guys are hunting year-round. I mean, I am too, just not legally. :sign:

Make sure to get your hunting license if you ever get stationed in Germany Brickhouse.

And deer season over here is 1st of May until Nov I think.

No where as many hunters as in the US so the season is longer.

Deer season runs from 1 May until 31 Jan. I passed on one this morning because i was not sure if it was a buck or doe was to dark to tell. I need to shoot 9 more before NOv otherwise the local foresters get upset each hunter has a quota to fill.

Ah that explains it. Yeah, I was in Germany for 3 years. I just figured there was too much red tape to get my license. Or maybe I was just too busy hunting for beer, hehe.

Well if you get back over here I highly recommend it. Nice loooooong hunting season and the lisence is for life so once you have it you can use it every Germany tour you make.

Congrats Double D!

How many pounds did it weigh?

BTW do you still have to pay so much per pound to keep your kill? Does the Jägermeister still lead you into the forest and tell you where to stand? Or did they do away with all that?

Hunted hirsch in Germany once, back in 1977. It was way different than my hunting days here in Pennsylvania. Way different and way more expen$ive.
