opus vs padron 1926

I have had most vitolas of the Opus. I like them all.

The 26's on the other hand are very difficult for me to acquire and I have only had two. One I bought and one that was generously gifted to me. Both were very good.

My answer to the question? I would take the 26.

thread jack all ya want bro....jus wish i had some goods to bomb brickhouse with myself...anyone doin thejob overseas so i dont have to in my backyard is worthy of whatever we can send em...

I like an Opus if I am in the right mood. Now Padron on the other hand I'll smoke anytime. I guess I am becoming somewhat of a Padron whore!

Very good question. Also not an easy one to answer. For me I have not had ever variation of each so my knowledge of both is not top notch. For my money so far I would go for the Padron. I am more of a Bold flavor man than I am power and they seem to be more consistant at that for me. Just my 2 cents.

Oh my god...this is like choosing between your two children. I suppose that I would have to go with the Padron 26 maddie, but that Opie would be calling my name. The flavor profiles are so dramatically different and there is just nothing like an OpusX.

I have never tried the '26. So in that case this is what I would go with. LOL!

Huh? ???

UMMM. Yeah. I was at work and trying to type fast. Sorry for the confusion. I was trying to say since I have never had a '26, that is the one I would go with. I have had a few Opus' and liked them. But I have not had the chance to pick up a '26. Hope that clears up my unintelligable sentence.

Padron #2 or #35 anyday except if I can get my hands on an Opus #5  or #4 :whistling: and maybe a Perf X ;)

The flavor of the two is very different. It's hard to choose; kinda like the difference between a great scotch and a great bourbon. My experiences are that PAM64's / Serie 26's are smooth, intense, dark, wonderful smokes. Opies are spicy and really have a completely different taste to them. Both are flawlessly constructed and usually burn / draw like a champ.

To me, a Padron is a very relaxing smoke, where the Opies sort of say "...pay attention..!!..". I like them both and smoke them depending on my mood and what I'm looking for.

Having said that, I've often thought if I had to have one and only one brand of smoke for the rest of time, it'd probably be Padron. From the 2000 Maddies through the more "pedegreed" sticks, they have a consistant, great line of smokes that I never seem to get tired of.

My $00.02 - B.B.S.

Puros as many have said it depends on my mood. I would say Padron however purely bc I have to go to 0 effort to get my hands on Padron cigars. My B&M has an abundance as you can see HERE!

Carful there is Cigar/Padron p0rn there!

If i could easily get my hands on Opus it might be a differnt story!

I like both for the smooth quality smoke but I like Padron better because OPUS more often than not has kicked my butt when I am not stuffed to the gills with steak :o

I haven't had either but I'm looking forward to trying both. The comments in this thread have got me anticipating those days.
