I think what speaks volumes about the VSG is that the favorites are spread out among all the styles. Consistancy, no matter the size.

Bottom Line: All Ashton VSGs are damned good.

The only one I've had is the Illusion and that was a great smoke. Just a bit too much for me, I want to try a Tres since that is about the same ring but half the lenbth.

None of the above. I think the whole Ashton VSG line is way overrated, overpriced and the taste and flavor are nothing special.

It would appear CC disagrees with my statement, lol.

It's all about tastes, and what you prefer. I'm kinda with CC on this one. I've smoked half a dozed VSGs over the past 6 months and none of them really did it for me. There's just something about the flavor profile that puts me off. The best of the lot was a Belicoso about 2 weeks ago, but I just found it to be "okay".

The only thing that really matters though is that you like what you smoke.

On a similar note, I hate the taste of root beer -- but apparently a lot of people like the stuff or they wouldn't sell it. Bleccckh!

Beauty and taste are in the eyes of the beholder. Well, taste
is not in the eyes :) Many people may love the taste of something and few
may not, as is the case in this thread.

I haven't tried one yet, so you may have convinced me to try one tonite to see what the hubbub is all about. I have one that's been sitting in the humi for awhile.

I just hope it holds off raining long enough. :p

Well Brick, I tried the VSG Belicoso and I have to go into the minority. I did a review of it and unfortunately, not too positive. As I mentioned in my review, I hope it was a one time dud and not the rule.

Hmm, bit surprised at that, though like it has been said on here, everyone has different tastes.

But it just seems that you and I have had similar tastes in a few posts (Perdomo Champagne, Torano 1916), so I thought you may enjoy it. I haven't had the Belicoso yet, still in the humi.

But hey, everyone has different taste pref's, so maybe they just aren't for you. I hope you give it another go though :)

Interesting to say the least. The Beli is the only one that I have liked. Is the flavor profile different on these?

The big problem was the lack of taste. I will give it another go. Hate to say nay with just one cigar, unless it was a total dog rocket.

Had me the Belicoso tonight just to make sure, hehe. I loved it, it was great from start to finish.

I have to admit though, like you I had trouble picking up much aroma on the prelight. I mean, it was there, but nothing that raised my eyebrows. But from the first puff to the last it was full of flavor for me.

Hope your second is better :)

Good to hear brick. Sounds like more and more that I got a dud or maybe it wasn't fresh enough or aged enough.

Much to my chagrin, I can't participate in your poll because I've never had an Ashton VSG. My newbie roots surface once again! :(

Dude, come to DC and I will hook you up. Your not far.

Dude are you my brother? I am a VSG whore. I love them. The Illusions are my normal but the enchantment is my favorite.

I've had every VSG except for the Spellbound and Wizard (still can't find them locally), loved every one I've smoked, but still go to the Enchantment as my favorite. I managed to grab some Enchantments last weekend while in Ybor (only 6 left), and found an empty Wizard box on the shelf (too late!). Love them VSGs!

The Sorcerer definately for a longer amount of time to smoke and the Belicoso #1 for a tad shorter amount of time to smoke.
All in all I love the Sorcerer.

I find the two above to be stronger and tasteier than some of the other sizes.
