Anyone Enjoy Deep Sea Fishing ?

Are there any people from NYC who enjoy deep sea fishing ???

There are plenty of party boats involved. If there are enough people who want to make it a nice trip we can have a fishing HERF sometime in the summer.

We can talk about that one at the NYC Biergarten Herf on the 22nd along with one that I was talking to a buddy of mine from Greenwood Lake, NY that is a board member at the Elks Club there....... :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:
 
This was my latest catch off Island Beach State Park this past week. We also hooked into and 9ft Thresher Shark, got him right up to the boat but no way was I bringing a live shark on my boat so we cut him loose.

We actually hooked up with 4 other fish but only boated those two. All the stripers were the same size, 42"-45" and 30-33 lbs. We first hooked up trolling bunker spoons and then we located the acres upon acres of bunker that seem to be around as of even yesterday, snag a bunker and let him sink to th bottom and BANG!

All in all I'd say with the shark included it was the best 4 hrs of fishing I've had in my life!
 
That's a hell of a catch you guys had. I imagine the shark must have wight a lot should have harpooned it or something
 
Holy cow! Nice catch. Those are just about the biggest fish I've ever seen.

Dan, great idea for a herf. I think you should talk to Seavita and set up something, it's a lot cheaper paying for gas than a rental. Although he's right about 4-5 guys, 25 is a good size, but by no means a 12-20 person herf and fish boat. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to make it. I'm so busy at the end of this summer that the Biergarten herf is one of my only free weekends. Otherwise it's vacation or work time. Maybe in the early fall though for me. As for the rest of you, this would be a cool thing to do a couple more times by the end of the summer.
 
I've only been deep-seas fishing twice, but I LOVED it! I think it's a great idea for a HERF< and would most likely be interested in coming down.
 
Yeah, I'm heading out today on my friend's yacht for some strippers myself. All night party and fireworks tomorrow. If I get anything then I will post pics. ;) :sign:

Oooops that was not to Freudian..lol I mean after all she is a pretty hot blonde that I am going with so maybe my subcomcious knows more about what will happen than me... :whistling:
 
Oh! You realy meant STRIPERS? I thought your buddy was having a sweet party on the yacht with strippers.
