I always thought shipping priority mail with a DC was $4.05, why is my local charging me $4.55?

Delivery Confirmation? It's extra if you get it at the Post Office (as opposed to being included in the price when printing out the label from home).
....becuase you look like an easy mark for $0.50...??... 
(kidding....).
If it's a "Mailboxes ETC" or some chain like that, they'll have a "processing fee" above what USPS charges. If it's a USPS I don't have a clue.
Best thing I ever did was to get a small digital scale from Amazon and use "Click N Ship" from USPS's web site. So convienent.....

Wasy - FYI - I bought the ten pound version of this scale. For some reason the 10 lB version isn't available from Amazon anymore, but this one is rated for 2.5 lbs and on sale for $19.95. I sure like mine....
