The Chief

they have those here but i never seen it outside the box. Most people here buy them for gifts or jokes. I don't think even the most hardcore smoker could go through this mother. The box is really long so i know the cigar is huge. I will check tomorrow to see if they have any left.

Tried to smoke one camping some years ago. Had a bit of PI flavor to it, but the burn was terrible, and one side of it was plugged, so after fighting with it for the first few inches, I threw it on the fire. It burned better there.

One of these days I'll grab another and try it, because I try to make a point of not forming an opinion (especially a negative one) on the basis of smoking one cigar. But I'm not in any rush.

I've smoked one... it's a novelty cigar. If you want to get it for a joke, more power to you. That's all it really is though.

We watched a couple of guys smoking these at CigarFest back in May, it was hysterical to see! After about 3 hours it looked like they still had over half of it to go, and they looked a little "green"!

Monica probably would have like it.... :whistling:

I actually have the set of natural and maduro. Get the maduro one if you are going to smoke it.

I have smoked two of them. The first was after Christmas in 2001 while OpusXKC and I worked at Fidels in Westport. We smoked them for 5 hours and 20 minutes. There were a few issues with them. First, cutting them. We ended up using a punch cutter and did about 5 punches in the cap. I can't recall how we lit them. I think we may have used one of those Colibri Trifecta lighters in the shop. I've got a picture around here somewhere that I'll post when I figure it out. I probably would not choose to smoke another just because of the sheer size and length of time required. Mainly we just wanted to say we had done it.

Oh those were the days. I must say that smoking a stick like that is WORK. It is a hard draw, and a rough smoke. Is it good? Not really, but the experience is something else. As we were smoking them, customers would come in and just be in awe of the size.

Nice job on the pic B, it still graces the inside cover of my cigar dossier.

I smoked one of these back in 1999/2000 sometime in Dec to celebrate New Years. It took me exactly 4 hours of smoking and even sent Cigar Aficionado a picture. It never made it it but two ass clowns hold unlit cigars pointing at a license plate does. Go Figure. It was an ok cigar but as Opus noted, it takes work to smoke it. I cut my with a single blade cutter and it took just enough of the cap off to work just fine. At that point, we had to use this crazy lighter someone made. It was in a box that was like 6" by "6 by 6". Ya pushed down on this lever and it would move toward up and strike up a flame. Did require some touch ups and many strange ass people came up and wanted a picture of me smoking it. It was good times to bring in the New Year.
